Ostrich eggs

Hi..we are sooo bummed..we tried to hatch ostrich eggs in a Little Giant incubator (modified height and put in fan). Anyway..they didnt hatch..we opened eggs..chicks were fully formed but never pipped internally..what did we do wrong??? We want to try again but don't want the same ending! Please help!!

Head for the "Other backyard poultry" for ducks, geese, ostriches, emus , turkeys and post there. Someone there should be able to give you advice.
