Other Fowl collage- photo submission thread

In one of our old houses in the bush out the front that we walked past to get to our car there was a pigeon nest. We’d often watch the male and female swap so one can get food whilst the other sits. Sadly, something made them abandon the nest. I’m not sure what, but either way something happened to their eggs. No signs that anything hatched. From what we could tell we think something ate the eggs, then the parents flew off, or got attacked. There were no signs of struggle, the nest wasn’t even damaged. I’m not sure what happened but either way I was sad. I was looking forward to baby pigeon peeps. I assume a magpie or something scared the pigeons away since we had a LOT of magpies in our yard. I’ve also watched magpies and pigeons fight. One time a magpie and a pigeon fought out the front of my window. I had pigeon blood there for awhile. Either way, pigeons make very good partners (that was the original point of my story but I think I started rambling).
