. The experience part can apply to both. So far I've only used it for keeping but breeding is another great aspect I will try to incorporate in later profiles.

Diet: i feed mine veggies, and rodent chow.
Temperament: VERY calm, but females do offten get in fights.
Colors: my sister gets blacks, reds, and blondes when she breeds hers.
Environment: a small water tank.
Family: rodent
Additional Notes: these hampsters get VERY big. but are WONDERFUL pets. mine will fall asleep in my lap when i hold him. he is so awesome. i would recomend this breed to anyone wanting hampsters!

. Do you keep the sexes separated due to prevent them breeding or because of aggression?
 
yes, females stay in one cage, and males are in the other. sometimes the females get in fights though. and so they dont breed.
