Does anyone have any suggestions for Species or Breeds to add?

Name: Goat
Experience Needed: Medium. You have to know how to trim hooves and measure out foods. Well you mostly need them smarts =]
Origin: Different for different breeds.
Diet: Grain, Hay, Oats, and WATER!
Temperament: Depends on the goat, but my two are the most loyal "dog" you can ever ask for.
Colors: Varies a lot!
Environment: Pasture, not an inside pet. Needs quite some space.
Family: Do well with little kids if they are used to the crying and screaming. The little kids gotta be brave and stick out a headbutt or two.

Additional Notes: Great pet! They ALWAYS, and I mean ALWAYS need a companion. They could/will become severely depressed if left alone.

Name: American Pit Bull Terrier

Experience Needed: NOT recommended for first time dog owners. They can be stubborn, and requite a lot of time and training, and are known for their tenacity. They have a strong desire to please their owners. RESEARCH the breed and check out the breeders and parents of the pup before picking one.

Origin: 19th century Europe, technically.

Diet: A Good Quality kibble. BEAWARE of BLOAT. This is a big health concern to "deep chested" breeds and is fatal if not treated immediately.

Temperament: Loyal, loving, and lots of fun!

Colors: Just about any

Environment: Not a "small spaces" dog. Requires a lot of exercise and room to run.

Family: Excellent family dog, however, known to have a high prey drive (with enough work, they can and will share their bed with cats, and can be trained to even ignore chickens)

Health Issues: Pits are known for a higher than average incidence of hip dysplasia, as well as allergies, eye problems, and congenital heart defects.

Life Expectancy: 12-14 years

Name: Shubunkin Goldfish

Experience Needed: Not much but research should be done for all fish

Origin: Japan

Diet: A proper flake or pellet. Vegetables and Other plant matter is often given in addition

Colors: Their pattern depends on their strain

Environment: A cold water aquarium or pond. When young should not be housed in less than 20 gallons. They can grow very fast and will need an upgraded tank or pond when mature.

Family: A aquarium can be a great addition to a child's room. However, they are not truly "pets"

Notes: Goldfish should never be kept in bowls. This WILL stunt their growth as well as take off their life expectancy.
