Other Poultry Show
2025 BYC Summer Fair
Ends on August 24th, 2025
This show is for all domestic poultry (ducks, geese, turkeys, peafowl, guinea fowl, quail, pheasants, emus, pigeons, doves, etc.) other than chickens. As long as it's domestic poultry, and isn't a chicken, it is welcome here!
Since a lot of Other Poultry do not have Standards of Perfection, this contest will be judged based on the overall condition of the birds and the quality of the photos. Clear, focused, well-lit photos of a well-posed bird in good condition will score higher.
Though we will not be judging per the SOP of each breed/species, general disqualifications do still apply, such as clear evidence of disease, Angel Wing in ducks and geese, or pendulous crop in turkeys, etc.
Enter by posting images of your birds in this thread. Each entry should consist of 1-5 photos of your bird and one of the pictures should show the entire left or right side of the bird (head, beak, feet, toes, and tail).
The Other Poultry Show is a judged photo contest.
If entries warrant, we will split the contest into two categories - landfowl & waterfowl, with prizes for each category.
Prizes - At least one 3-month PFM!

Rules:
- Four entries per member. One entry per post, please.
- An entry consists of 1-5 pictures of your "other domestic poultry" (ducks, geese, turkeys, peafowl, guinea fowl, quail, pheasants, emus, pigeons, doves, etc.).
- Include one picture that shows the entire left or right side of the bird (head, beak, feet, toes, and tail).
- In your entry, please include the following:
- Breed
- Color
- Sex
- Age
- No chickens allowed. Chickens can enter one of the Eight Chicken Shows
- Please enter Broad Breasted turkeys in the Meat Bird Show instead of this show.
- Images that have been resized might be disqualified if they are too small to judge.
- No screenshots. No collages.
- No watermarks, text, or other elements on the photo. Date stamps are allowed.
- The photo needs to have been taken by you.
- You cannot use a photo that won an award in another BYC-sponsored contest.
- High-quality images are recommended. Basic editing, such as cropping and other subtle changes, is allowed.
- ALL photos MUST be uploaded to BYC.
- Prizes are limited to one per person per contest.
