My Wellie is the largest of the chicks too. I have been a bit concerned about gender (because of the size and the chunky legs) even though the markings are clearly female. She has just gotten more friendly. Last night was the first time she "volunteered" to be picked up (by jumping on my hands when I put them in the brooder). The Delawares have been doing that every since I started giving them tomato bits for treats, but last night a couple of the others joined the party on my arms.
