My rooster decided today that we didnt want to be a nice guy anymore. I've never trusted him but hes never shown signs of aggrssion towards me. I was collecting the eggs and he nearly drilled a hole in the side of my leg. 3 eggs broke in the mayhem, a bunch more cracked, and Goldie dropped a egg right on the ground while standing next to me. So it was an egg eating frenzy along with me wildy chasing the rooster around the coop. Must have been a scene...

Anyway, now I know to carry my bamboo stick whenever I'm near him! Is there anything I can do to show him I am dominate over him?

Continue with what you are doing. A whack with the bamboo plus chasing him around the pen. Sometimes grabbing him and carrying him around will help. You are correct. It's all about proving to him that you are dominant.

Yep, about 240 degs at 10lbs pressure for an hour or so would probably relax him considerably.

.....Alan.

With some carrots and celery. Maybe Coq au Vin?

And some spices, would cool down the temper...

Your rooster has probably just been under a lot of stress lately and needs some relaxing time in the hot tub.

Best wishes,
Ed
