Our 1st egg!

Congrats! I am awaiting our first eggs. Hopefully they will not hold out on us!

Congrats!! That first egg is SUCH a thrill!!

But BCM's don't lay green eggs, they are supposed to lay very dark brown eggs...
...are your neighbors crossing BCM's with blue or green egg layers?
Looks like you have an 'Olive Egger' to me.

Will be curious to see the next dozen or so eggs if you could post pics of them.

X 2 - which would be a welcome surprise in my flock as I would love to add a couple of Olive Eggers to our mix.

Those are the pics of the eggs we've collected. Since the 20th, we've had an egg everyday and today we found 3 eggs in the nesting box. So far, so good.

Congratulations on some beautiful eggs. Guess you can't bronze them all. But one as a keepsake would be nice.

Congratulations, I know you are excited, we got out first today but it rolled into the yard and my grandson stepped on it. I'm not sure which one of the 3 laid but I think I know. After 8 months of waiting my RIR is coming through. Again congratulations!

Our 1st EGG
4.7 month old Leghorn, Sophia
12:00 noon

Did not expect it, no chicken song, but she was sitting in the nest box.
We just checked on her and there was no egg.
Minutes later my kids were yelling. EGG!

Now what do I do. Lol
Take it, leave it???

I have a mixed age flock, medicated food was mixed in with Non- medicated feed

Do we eat it??
