Our 6 mos old lavender hen is not walking on her left leg

Her foot and leg look clean and totally normal but when I tried to extend it she was in great pain.

could be a broken or dislocated leg. have you tried feeling for anything loose or broken?

edit: check the bottom of her foot for a black scab.it just might be bumblefoot

I examined the leg and it looked perfectly fine..but when I slightly pulled it straight down is when she freaked out. She is eating fine..I have no idea what a dislocated leg on a chicken would look or feel like. I'm only knowledgeable in canine health.

a dislocated leg on a chicken often looks like they are holding it up or dragging it.they might fly and bounce off that leg to get around. does she walk normally?

No, she is not walking at all. She is kind of flapping/using her wings to move about 3 or 4 feet at time but not walking. Mostly today she stayed in the same spot unless she was at the feeder or waterer. I went to check on her to make sure she made it into the chicken house after the door came down and she made it up the ramp to get inside and is not a roost she is inside the house but on the ground with the 2 silkys we have. She is usually up on a roost.
