Is it normal for the White Bearded Polish to have five toes on each food as opposed to just four on each foot?

And if it is normal, why? I'm speculating that the all white polish has Sultan blood in it but I am wondering what you guys think.

Look at its comb.Houdan has specific Butterfly comb,Sultan-V-shaped.Olso Sultan is feather leged.Any feathers on the legs will indicate Sultans blood.

What's strange is I bought the female (looks like a female so far) from a breeder in South Jersey that says he bought them as White Polish from Murray McMurray Hatchery.

I'll try and find the comb under the mess of feathers (THE POOR THING CAN BARELY SEE!!!! It's so funny to watch, very easy to catch, and is afraid of the wind...a lot of my polish chicks are lol...

) and take a picture later to show you all.

Also, it doesn't have feathered legs at all and looks exactly like a white polish should...I just noticed the extra toes today and had no idea!

I know for a fact though it isn't a sultan. We have a Sultan about the same age that is looking to be a female (no comb development) complete with HUGE vulture hocks...I'm working on spoiling the sultan rotten with mealworms and earthworms... So far it comes over when I put my hands down but still doesn't like to be caught (fine when held though).

Anyway thanks. I'll take another look for the comb and let you guys know what type it is and take some photos as well.

So what do you guys think? Cross? White Houdan? Or just a bad strain of white polish?

Either way we are keeping this one...she is VERY friendly and very comical...
