Our Camera Shy Button Quail ~

HI Everyone!
I took a few more pictures of my Button to see if we could narrow down her color!

I can see a little of the silver Shelley mentioned.
Looking at the pictures on Quaillady's site, she kinda reminds me a little of pearl or lace?

Thanks Missi!
I do too!

Years ago I raised doves and one of my favorite colors was Tangerine. She reminds me of them.

Now,
Where did Quaillady and Shelley run off to?

I would really love to narrow down her color!

She will be paired with this guy most likely.

My camera died on me...it's recharging for tomorrow

I had to run to TSC for litter and some finch seed as the birds hate me without their mix

I believe what you have is an ivory hen, a mixture of silver and cinnamon. I have a hen similar but she is in retirement since 6 years old. I will see if I can get a photo of her and if she looks likes yours at all.

I'm picturing a riot if you try and go in the room without their seed.

I"ve had to charge my camera a few times in the past week too.

Sure beats the old one I had with Batteries. Looking forward to your pictures!

Ivory, how cool! She's changed quite a bit since a baby. I can see why sometimes having to wait for adult plume.
I too was certain as a baby she was cinnamon, then she started to change. lol...

Cant wait to see a picture of your bird, and the babies!

Oh yes, they look at their food like "what is this??" and then no eggs. I also picked up a 50 pound bag of oyster shells

for their pans. They will love me tomorrow!

I bet they will!

I know how they are when the are used to a routine! I think it goes for just about any birds! LOL!

I need to check around and see how big a bag I can get the oyster shell in.

I was at my favorite feed store Sat. And spent way more than I planned to spoil everyone!

Several seeds to mix and wheat to sprout and grow grass for them.

I love him too!

I got him at a recent Bird Show/sale , and turns out he was bred by a friend of mine, that used to run a pet shop that bought most of my birds.

Haven't decided on a name yet. He growls before he crows, sort of sounds like a hawk, so was thinking of maybe calling him Hawk.

I moved my babies (in my pic thread) into their 'new' bird cage pen the day I took those pics. Just the little commotion caused by that act made all but one of my buttons quit laying for 2-3 days. The one who didn't stop is in an opaque tote and couldn't see what was happening
