Our chickens attacked the census woman!

OMG that-is-H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S!!!

Clicker training worked so well with my dogs I always thought to try it with my chickens...

I wish they would attack some of my roomates friends that I don't like....

My BF got a call from a census taker the other day, he asked my BF if he had any kids born since a few years ago, my BF says no.... The taker then asks "what are their names?" My BF is silent for a few seconds then says the first thing that comes to mind, which was "Are you stupid?". If someone doesnt have an automatic no answer then something is usually wrong...

I know it was probably just an automatic answer from having asked so many, it was just humourous especially combined with my BF's ways of dealing with other people's episodes of not thinking fully, or at all.

I just quit my census job today- the biggest bunch of baloney ever IMO. My supervisor asked us to LIE!?! (what?) and where I live is supposedly the worst place in the country to get an accurate census, due to all of the vacation homes and elderly people (they ignore us). I keep telling everyone to be nice to the census people and answer all of the questions completely... cause if you don't your going to have another knock on the door before too long.

I have had a lot of crummy jobs in my day but this one wins first prize for most frustrating. Our "team" kept getting paperwork kicked back because a refusal (which there is a code for!) is not allowed. "Find a proxy" was all we were told- kinda hard to do when the area being done is nothing but summer play houses for the uber rich and no one is EVER there! I know I will never do this again even if they offer me a bazillion dollars an hour!

My wife is working as a census enumerator as well. She was attacked by a hawk last week. At first I figured the hawk just swooped towards her or something, but it actually knocked her to the ground. She didn't even know what had happened until she looked up and it was coming in for a second strike. Thankfully, she was able to fend it off with her official census bag. I knew they passed them out for a reason. It was in a very residential neighborhood too. It hit her right on top of the head. Her hair was full of blood.

She hates the job too, but it's a paycheck. People can be VERY crude. Personally, I think it's a huge waste of taxpayer $, but there's no sense taking it out on the temporary census workers. They're just people who needed a job, and have no say in making policy.
