Yes, the ducks do grow fast, and they are messy. I have to clean the brooder everyday.

I need to get a move on and get the coop and run done so I can put them out.

I'm really not sure what kind of ducks they are. We are just waiting for them to get their feathers so someone can tell us what they are.

Just once a day?

I have to scoop up the wet litter around the waterer a couple of times a day

I was warned about the mess, but jeepers! I would have sepererated them, but my other brooder is being occupied with my chicks that I hatched-and it's high time they go outside too, but my other coop is being occupied by bottle calves...

The ducklings are so precious though, I just fell in love with them!

They are so cute at this age. Still have some of their fuzzies.

The ducks are cute too. I considered getting some this year, but I think I'll wait until I have seperate brooding areas since they are so messy.

I learned my lesson last year - I had 2 ducks and three chicks - and what a wet stinky mess those ducks made of the brooder !! now when my duck eggs hatch I am going to get a second brooder going for them - never mix them togather again LOL
