Our Comets seem to get bound up and then a couple of days later they die. Can anyone tell us what this is and if there is a way to cure or take care of this problem.

I'm not sure what you mean by bound... as in egg bound? However, I do know that hybrids bred for egg laying (like Comets) often get reproductive disorders and die...

I haven't had one die yet from being egg bound as all I do
is put them in the laundry room where it is quiet and warm
and in a couple of days they get over it and pass an egg ...

If you mean that they are gettting egg bound, there are several things you can do to help prevent it from happening and treat if it it does happen. Make sure that they get enough calcium. This often means having a container of oyster shell free choice, or crushing up egg shells and feeding them back to the hens. If a hen gets egg bound, soak her lower half in warm water. This should help pass the egg.
