Happy Birthday, America!
Last night we had family over and we ate food and shot fireworks.
But before I had the food ready and before everyone showed up, my son pulls up in this b/c he said we had too many fireworks!

My brother is a local fire chief. He was on call and had his "company car" - a clearly labeled SUV - at Mom's. It was funny as AH ,,, until he got called. Total reality check! Everything turned out just fine, no one injured, but it was a humbling and thankful moment for all of us!

Hello, all my ACA friends.

Just thought I’d share that my ACA therapy isn’t going very well this year:
Back in mid May, my son said pick out anything in the store (a late Mother’s Day present).
Little did he know at the Tractor Supply we’d be bringing home yet even more chicks.
A week ago my daughter and I had to pick up something and went to the TS. Chicks were on sale for $2.
I came home with eight Jersey Giant chicks.
Just to add, this Easter I had already hatched out ten chicks in my incubator.

That’s why I’m here at BYC.
You all understand.

Can anyone guess what happened shortly after I took this picture?
I ended up with a pinkish red GP puppy.

When I was a kid, my cousin and I were talking about a movie that had just come out in theaters called Footloose.
We talked about how cool it would be if my brother’s hair (younger than me by two years) could look like Kevin Bacon’s hairdo.

Finally, we came up with a good plan. We borrowed my aunt’s Vaseline and caked my brother’s hair with it. He had no say so in the matter.
Needless to say it did NOT look like Kevin Bacon’s hairdo!
