Here's some pics of our temporary day time digs my husband built for our newbies.
It's just during the day until they are big enough to roam the lake.
I bring them inside in pens at night.

Theres some chicken wire I pull over the top to prevent aerial predators.

Umm guys........that's suppose to be a drinking dish not a baby pool!

Daisy watches over her flock. She guards them!

Shameless doggie pic. Coco just wants to pull the fuzz off the ball.

And the babies going to bed after a hard day outside.

And I here's a video of Jmatt checking out the new comers.
He keeps coming up in the yard to scoop them out.
Hope this bodes well for when Largo (definitely a Hen), Montego (we think a hen, not sure yet), and the babies Tweety and Taz are finally all big enough to roam the lake.
Couldn't get the video to embed so I hope you'll click the link below to watch.
I apologize for the quality of the video. I was shooting out the kitchen window so I didn't scare off Jmatt.

Very nice! LOL @ the section 8 comment!
This is a great temporary run//housing for your ducks! Seems very sturdy! Your husband did a fine job!
My dog angel is a poodle, and she just loves to chase the ducks around their run. She's on the outside and the ducks are on the inside.
Since poodles are used as herding dogs, I like to think that she is herding them rather than chasing , haha!
Enjoy your babies!

Thanks for the pics. You gave me some ideas for what I need for "section 8" housing! Nice job.
