Our First Broody and Incubator Hatch: a Diary

Pics
I watched Ruby and her baby this morning as I cleaned and filled waterers. I think the little has grown and inch this week!

The chick was actually first out of the coop when I opened the door this morning, with mama hot on its heels. They've done a fabulous job of turning the litter in the coop and the straw in the yard over the last few weeks. I'm going to rake everything tomorrow morning and straighten things up out there. Tonight I'll be treating everyone for lice except the chick :he I'm hoping the chick will gain some protection from being with mom.

So not liquid...shoot, ok thank you!
Spray might still transfer ok, just haven't done it myself.
Had a broody get lice infested, didn't realize it until I was taking close up pics of chick can saw a louse crawl out and back in to chicks head fluff.
Might not hurt to put a couple drops of spray on chick.

A few pics of mama and the baby from today. I cleaned the coop and raked the litter and they came in for food and water afterward. Last pic is a bit blurry but shows the feather growth on the chicks wings so far.
