Our first broody Hen hatch! UPDATE PICS!

Good ole silkie pumpkin! I came home from school today to a pleasant surprise...cheep cheep from our porch. Pumpkin began sitting these eggs at the beginning of hte month so this one is a little early. She set on 5, so 1 down 4 to go! Pics in the future are coming!

How exciting!! I got my first 2 silkies today, been wanting for a while. Hope I can have a broody with babies like yours

We are thinking around here to keep silkies just to have excellent broodies! At least I am! She is such a good momma. One of the chicks is really bold, she (we think positive for pullets here) runs out to touch my fingers in the pen. I can't wait to have her hatch more!
