Our FIRST D'uccle egg!

I love those mille fleur d'uccles. Yours are especially beautiful. How are they really as layers? Decent production?

Mine have only laid 2 eggs, not sure how their production will be yet. The egg yesterday was her 2nd and it was a LONG egg... I still need to take a picture of it.

Yup. The rooster is actually named Spot. The pullet is Dot. He is a pretty little guy and one tough cookie. He is my alpha roo and will take on anything! He even jumped up and pecked me on the calf one evening when I was "attacking" his coop with a paint brush. Of course, I then had to chase his naughty little hiney around the yard. He's too fast to catch and tuck under one arm. He tickles me with his huge personality. Definitely "little man syndrome".

The mille fleurs have quickly become some of my favorites. I wouldn't mind hatching some out this spring. I think they're lovely with fun little personalities.

I have a Mille pulleys. 25/26 weeks and she is laying. I was hoping she was a roo and I named her rusty. Well turned out she's a hen. She still likes the name thought.
