Our First Egg Is Here!!!!!

I went to let my girls and boys out this morning and, as has become habit, I checked the nests and almost missed it but it was there snuggled down in the nest next to the 'example egg'.

I let out a little yip and all my birds (duck included) stared at me like something was wrong!!! I am so proud!!! Who would have thought that having a chicken lay a first egg could make you this happy.....

No there isn't a pic at the moment because my camera batteries are dead but I will post one as soon as it is done charging. I am excited still and I am not sure which hen laid the egg but all of my babies are from 18-22 weeks old. I have brown leghorns, red and black astralorp ?spelling?, barred rocks, black and red sex links, cinnamon queens, delawares, and one ameracauna; I don't know which laid the egg but I am proud of whomever it was.
