Well, it finally happened. One of my little chickpeas became a hen today! So we are officially embarking on the next stage of chickening. They are all about 18 weeks but I suspect it was one of my Isa Browns. Yesterday I put up some new curtains made of an old sheet. I put up some nesting box curtains and immediately had one in there inspecting. We have had the fake eggs in the boxes for a little while now. I guess they appreciated the new digs!
I can’t wait for the rest of the team to get going. I just wanted to share my joy here with my chicken peeps!
Random question, do you guys use nesting box curtains?

Congratulations!! I haven't used nest box curtains, but looking at that photo, I think I'm going to. It looks not only great for the birds, but it is SO cute!!!!!

YAY for you! It's so exciting when it happens.

What a homey coop you've made for your girls!

Thank you both so much! I am so excited to get in the egg train! It’s also been a blast decorating their coop. It’s neat to turn leftover paint, old contact paper, and faded sheets into a cool pad for the ladies! I almost feel like a kid again.
