OMG OMG OMG! I checked the nest just for fun, and low and behold a HUGE egg!!!

This egg came from my buff saddleback pomeranian!

eta: just used my good cook scale, it weighs 5.5 oz!!!!!!!!

Not sure if this is true or not, but I was told that the first few eggs that a goose lays every spring are not fertile, has anyone else been told this or know is this is true.
