our first prolapse

I'm dealing with my first case of prolapse. I have a Tucks pad here and was wondering if that would work until I could get preparation H. It does have alcohol as an ingredient and didn't want to use if it was going to be too painful. the prolapse at this point is small and it popped back in easily. I will keep her inside and in the dark a couple of days and monitor closely. Any other suggestions. Thank you.

I highly recommend using honey instead of tucks or prep H...I have used it successfully...does the same thing but you don't have to worry about the medication affecting your chicken. Good luck!
