I have a 5.5 month old silkie who tried to lay her first egg. She might have pushed too hard that her insides came out. I managed to squeeze the egg out the prolapse sack but now dealing with the aftermath of keeping prolapse inside her. Picture included.

is the yellow part still part of her body or is it disposable tissue that will shave off? Im on day 2 trying to get her to keep this part in and No luck and hoping somehow it resolves on its own. Yellow part on the picture is the aftermath. Big red sack was what I was dealing with before.

I would think that is material that has come out from the vent, but it could even be a collapsed egg membrane and egg matter. I would clean her up, and keep it covered with vaseline until it goes back in.
