Thanks for all the feedback.
We did end up bathing her today. She looks (and feels) so much better! We spent about 45 minutes blow drying her on low, warm heat until she was totally dry before taking her back outside. We decided to nix the vaseline. We spoke to someone at our local chicken store and learned lots about chickens in the winter.
Donrae - We were told she was a Golden Laced Wyandotte when we bought her (although the chicks could have been improperly labeled when we bought them!). She's mostly white with gold highlights throughout (though hard to see in most pictures). She also has a single comb. If anyone knows what breed she is, we'd love to know! I've included a pic below and there are more on our profile.
