A new update:

The evacuation area has been expanded. It is now McCarran north to Caughlin Parkway, and south to Caughlin Ranch Elementary School and Alum Creek area. The boundary to the south is Zolezzi Lane to Arrowcreek Parkway.

My husband is in Reno on business, he already had a flight scheduled out today so I am hoping he makes it out...My thoughts are with all of you in the Reno area

Geez I know how scary the ones we get here with the Santa Ana's blowing. I always worry so much about all these people during and after. This is just terrible! I heard on the news just now about a truck being sent from another county, but you'd think there would be trucks sent from several. Are they fighting it by air too or are the winds to strong?

Winds are too strong and gusty - lots of down draft. So I do not think they have any air support
