Our home on fire

I am scared for you all. One of my big fears is being evacuated with little or no warning. I can just cry when I think about not being able to take my fishies and having to leave them behind. I am also scared that I wouldn't find all the cats too. I will pulling for and everyone effected by this fire.

I'm praying for all of y'all in Reno. Wildfires are the scariest thing I've ever witnessed. Please stay safe!

It's snowing really good now and it seems like the fire is out. We had 1 person die and a fire fighter was burned with 1st and 2nd degree burns. 1 person admitted into the hospital for smoke inhalation. Over 25 homes are gone. They are not telling us which homes are gone until they can tell the ones who lost them first. They said there are more than the 25 homes but again they are not telling us which homes are gone until they speak to the owners. They are now back tracking the fire to make sure everything is out for good.

AZ and CA have a wild fire season, and we are in it now. One would not think so with winter approaching, but it is October, November and December. While most do not destroy much, even one home lost is a tragedy. Our last wildfire destroyed by friend Bruce Shumaker's farm. He had one bull and 20 sheep survive. His Llama, Little Man, protected the sheep. Little Man crossed Rainbow Bridge later on, but did what he knew to do and saved those sheep. He lost all his chickens, his ducks, his dogs, his heifers. His home.

And people are afraid of earthquakes.

He has still not been able to rebuild due to the amount of corpses that need to be removed from his property. I will take an earthquake any day. Wild fires are devastating.

I have worked many forest fires and they are beautiful at night and sunset.

Not good when near towns though.

Luckily we got some good snow and what could have potentially been REALLY bad was stopped. the poeple who lost their homes seem to be in okay spirits and all of their animals are okay. Thank goodness! a wildfire is one thing but when its like this- in a residential area it can get really bad for the entire town.
