Our introduction to keeping chickens, the high's, the lows and pics of our journey.

That fluffy thing brings a smile to my face every time

Shiny! I do feel that the medal should have your time engraved on it though. Finisher doesn't quite capture the pace you ran at. It would be nice if they did under x hour medals. They used to do that for the comrades marathon, but I can't remember what the time cut off was.
The wylkie looks so funny in the first pic. Where's the food? Is that thing edible?

I engraved it myself, but a colour coded or different size would be cool. I didn't know they did that at Comrades. A few friends are very keen to head over but it's one that has not drawn my interest to enter. It looks awesome in it's own way, but if I was going to travel it would be hard to go past the beauty of a Northern US, Canadian or European race. Not that I have the funds to travel beyond my own city at the moment anyway hahaha.

I would race anywhere I could if I had the money. This race qualified me for Boston which was a cool feeling.

We had a few crowing this morning, the kids swear the feather duster was at it, but I didn't go investigate who was attempting the noise.

Maybe we can tie the timing of the next chicken mission with the Cebu marathon and we can be your support team. No chance you can get me to be your pace guy unless it's by texting lol.

Set up a crowd source finding acc and we can use you as the poster child.

@scottcaddy We went sailing this weekend, some more pictures for you.

Ben, have you recovered from your little run already?
Yes mate, all better. I took it easy last week for the early part, but finished strong. Saturday I got in an early 43km road run and yesterday was just over 38km trail run with some friends. About 126km for the week.

Yesterday was Father's Day here, and my family got me a GoPro with a few accessories so I was able to film some of my run yesterday. Just dabbling with editing something together this morning. I can share if you like.

Hmmmm. This could be possible "The Great Chicken Run!"
Vehve will be in charge of cooking the steaks
Yes most certainly, but he needs to make sure he washes his hands after touching his compost bin first!

You, my Dear Felix, are managing to have entirely way too much fun in the Great White North!
I do Thank You for sharing The Very Nice Pic's of your latest outing!

Snow, only got to play in it once, and it was not the most inviting country to be playing. Someday I will get my backside into some powder.

In chicken news not a lot has change. Some average weather has welcomed in Spring, so the girls stayed penned up on Saturday. Still doing well in the laying, about 11 eggs seems average. I was running low on sand in the coop, so I threw in the last of a straw bale I had. It's been in there 3 days now and seems to be going ok for the droppings, although a fair amount f straw comes out in the cleaning process.

The chicks are going well, not update to the sexes, still confident about 3 males, 1 female and one too early,

Scott, you only live once, might as well enjoy it

(Unless your religious tendencies lean more towards the one's that believe in reincarnation)

Oz, sure, I can take care of that, you just need to get a couple of Angus's grazing on Coco Beach, and you're in charge of the butchering.

Ben, I try to wash them properly, although I was doing a little thought experiment about compost cooked sous vide meat. Nothing I would actually try, but I think you could easily cook a fish or something in a vacuum sealed bag inside a really hot compost. Don't know how good it would taste though.

Thanks Fancy, I only had my phone with me again, but I think it takes pretty decent pics.
