I went away for a week helping my mom move when I came home little Suzi has lost her mojo, her energy is lacking and her comb has gotten white and dropping
We have tried a bunch of things to help her without success. VetRX, de worming meds, electro lights over the last few days. She is no longer hanging with her pals . Any suggestions?

How old is she? Her tail is down which means that she is sick, perhaps egg bound or having a reproductive disorder. Has she laid an egg recently? You can check for a stuck egg by inserting a clean finger into her vent 1-2 inches. Can you get her drinking some water and eating some scrambled egg and wet chicken feed? The electrolytes would be good. Make sure to have palin water available as well.

My hen Hester is doing the same thing and I just lost Opal last night to the same thing. I did see one worm in Opal’s poop so I dewormed her and gave her Nutri Drench and also put VetRX in her water. She was so pale and I couldn’t get her to eat or drink even though I tried with a syringe. Now I’m afraid I’m going to lose Hester too:(
I hope Suzi gets better soon...

We got her at the beginning of July, she has not made eggs, I will do a check to see if she is bound up. I will get some palin water. Thank you for the input

She really doesn’t feel well by the looks of her. I’d get some fluid and nutrients into her asap while you sort out what’s bothering her. She has not started laying eggs yet at eight months? Is she a Leghorn? What do you feed her? If she’s refusing feed, can you try setting it to see if she’ll eat it? If not, can you try scrambled egg?

Yeah I am not happy with how she looks, we have been giving here electrolytes the past few days. I believe she is a leghorn, she is still eating and drinking at the moment. I will try the scrambled egg in the am

In my experience, a Leghorn with bright white earlobes is likely in lay. I fear she could be laying internally. Can you feel her abdomen (downy area between and behind her legs) for bloating?
They just went in for the night I will check in the morning and let you know the results.

Thanks again everyone
