Our Maine Duck House

We're ready for this forecasted blizzard...or as ready as we're going to be. Think happy thoughts for our ducks, please!

Looks like you are. Does this place have any ventilation? looks pretty air tight. There needs to be a way for moisture to escape.

You sure did an awesome job.

The whole side facing southeast is open, but our weather usually comes from the other direction. We're about to go out, so we'll see what it looks like. Martha has been standing guard at the duckhouse door all day, while the others have pretty much been napping inside. They made one foray out for snacks and water. :-)

You poor things. How are the ducks holding up through this cold? How are ya'll? Mine sure aren't liking it we are at 5* with wind chill below zero. But next week we get a nice reprieve.

Ya'll have to be some really tough folks to live like this all winter.

We're figuring it out :) This prolonged cold is NOT the normal for here on the coast of Maine. Thank goodness they love their soup (and kibble!). I can't believe the one is still laying. We're well into -30s F with windchill today. They are snuggled in!

I agree they look great. and are smart to stay inside. And they aren't all huddled together either so they must be pretty comfy

I don't believe we've ever had such frigid temps come and stay this long. This long is the problem lol
