Going out is always easier on young poultry than going in, it's so dark and scary in there.

Your run and house looks great how did it go while ya'll were away? did the neighbors do good caring for the ducks?

Yes, the jumpers make us so nervous! We are away now, but our neighbor is giving us regular updates. All is well.

you could try making sides to your ramp to stop the jumpers. They can injure their legs

Yesterday we started fencing around the duck house. Eventually, we'll be able to open the run in the morning, and the ducks can make their way to and from the garden at will.

Well do not be surprised if you add more ducks as I have found them to be quite addicting. Will you be hatching any babies? Eating their eggs? meat?
