Our Mixed Flock Journey!

Thank you IM! :hugs 💗 We're waiting for my fil to decide if he wants to make the trip or not. I think he'll be sad if he doesn't go! I talked to my daughter & she told me from her experience, she probably won't make it. I kind of knew that already as soon as we heard they were putting her on comfort care.😢
I hope he goes. It will help.

I hope so too, she's his baby sister and they went through some really rough times as kids! He should grasp this chance to say goodbye! I got to say goodbye to one of my brothers, but not the other...both instances are very sad! :(

Having posted the nasty of my flock with Sansa's Sucker Peck, I feel I need to share a heartwarming one. Watch as Hattie shifts her spot on the roost so she can cuddle with Phyllis on this cold winter night.

Aww, I love this...that's a whole lotta hen to be able to snuggle with! 💞

Good morning all! I'm getting ready to head to town, again, I need an oil change and tire rotation, if we go to Montana we will drive my SUV. Anyway, we were greeted with about 3 inches of snow this morning and it's still coming down, it's the most we've gotten so far this winter. Last week they were saying that we had a chance of snow...less than an inch. Yesterday it turned into a winter storm warning! It will be a slower than normal trip into town, but at least where I'm headed didn't get any snow, so it shouldn't be too crazy!

Have a beautiful day everyone!

A view of the chicken coop under a fresh blanket of snow! Also in this picture, we lost a branch off of our Deodar Cedar tree it's the large tree on the left, looks like a lower branch. Oh well, it will make it easier to mow the lawn in that spot...:)

Thank you Debby, it was good! About 15 miles from my house the roads were bare and wet. I got back home around 12:30, so just a quick trip. Worked my tail off, when I got home last night and still hitting it hard today. We finished moving the bedroom furniture around and I set up my desk and computer in it's new space, I wasn't too sure, but I think I'm going to like it. Then I worked on organizing and putting away a bunch of my craft stuff, my yarn stash is too big...lol! We will be using the office space as a catch all for kitchen items until the remodel is done! One good thing about this remodel is it's making me get things back into a state of organization and I'm purging along the way! It will be a bit like a fresh start!
