Our Mixed Flock Journey!

We attached the sides and bottom to the face frame of the new sink cabinet & did a fit test...it fits...yay! Now we need to stain and finish the inside of the cabinet! We will also have to add the base to it, it sits pretty low right now, which means it fits me, but not anyone else in the family...lol! This is starting to get real! 😊

That’s looking good! Feels so good to be making progress!
Can’t start on ours just yet... need to wait for some extra funds🙄
So in the meantime I’m gonna start clearing out... and I do have a small cabinet I need to paint...

Mrs BY Bob wants one of those sinks so bad. I keep telling her all the cabinets have to go for that. Thanks for the proof. :thumbsup

It looks great.

Thank you! It does feel good to see things start to come together! Clearing out will definitely make it easier on you when you do get to start. I wish I would have done that, but no, I had to remain to my true, procrastinating self...lol! I have some cabinets for my craft room that I want to paint too...but they will have to wait! I'm repurposing an Armoire, a bookshelf and also the old desk from the kitchen! I'm thinking of a pretty teal on the Armoire and possibly the bookshelf, but I think I will do a white/cream color on the desk! I just remembered, we took down the end cabinet from the upper cabinets and I'm also repurposing that, Dale is building one that will be more practical to replace it, it's kind of like a corner cabinet! I'm glad I can reuse things!

They don't all have to go(just sayin) and we could have just modified the existing cabinet, but Dale decided this was the better option! I really loved my old sink, it was a very deep, double bowl cast iron...but like everything else, it was starting to look kind of tired. I think I might paint the old sink cabinet with exterior paint and repurpose it for a garden sink! See, so the cabinet doesn't have to completely go...again...just sayin! ;) I'm on Mrs BY Bob's side on this one...see how helpful I can be....:gig

Thanks again Bob!

Unfortunately the cabinets are from the 2002 remodel and I don't build cabinets. Hard to match them up.

It will have to wait for the next kitchen update.

I understand, but you understand how I had to give her my support right!!! :yesss: 😁 💗

Edit to add: I don't build cabinets either, so if it wasn't for hubs, I wouldn't be getting almost everything on my wish list! :)

That's great you can repurpose so much!

Those home improvement shows where everything is destroyed with a sledge hammer just about kill me...the waste. :hmm
