Our Mixed Flock Journey!

Good afternoon everyone! We spent the morning in the garden today! When my friend picked up Marquis she brought us some tomatoes, tomatillo's & onion sets. Before we could plant anything we had to do some cleanup, there is still a lot that needs to be done out there, but at least we have a start. After lunch we will start building the new bases for the lower cabinets so that we can get them put back in place! We're getting closer!

On the chicken front...life is definitely more peaceful with less roosters. The boys still get stressed whenever there is any breeding going on that they are not involved in...lol! But at least there is no longer any tackling going on & fighting over the hens. Maybe we will be okay with 3 roosters!
I spotted one of my RIR girls laying her egg on the opposite side of the mini coop & before I could block it off one of my Marans used the same spot! It is now kind of blocked, I need to do a better job, but it should work for now! I also need to turn the dirt over in the enclosed pen, it's looking kind of blech! :)

Good morning all! Yesterday was crazy busy worked on the kitchen in the morning, then went to town. Today we are heading to Spokane to pick up the lacquer finish for the upper cabinets & to look at slabs for the countertops. Tomorrow we are heading to Yakima so Dale can play in a golf tournament, so I will have some time to myself, which means I will have some BYC time. Have a good day & I'll see you all tomorrow! 💞
