I would think the "etc." includes stairs. Etc. is short for "Et" (and) + "cetera" (so forth), so it means "and everything else." Basically be careful letting him put weight on those front legs in any kind of jumping activity. I didn't say "no" because that would be virtually impossible. He's a puppy. Puppies play. Just keep an eye on him and don't encourage rough play, running and jumping.

Looks more like part chessie or one of the water/retrieving spaniels to me. I've seen a lot of labs and lab mixes and I don't see lab in him. He's a cute boy though.

For anyone wondering backstory:
Last Tuesday our local shelter needed volunteers to foster because if the hurricane. We went and picked him up, of course we bonded with him and didn't want him to go back so we wanted to foster till he found a home. Nobody was really interested except a friend of ours, but at the end of the day they didn't want him so we adopted him. He apparently was an owner surrender, with his sister(who got adopted too) and was rehomed due to housing issues. The shelter said he's a lab
