i picked my new ducks up on saturday and it shocked me how she was carrying them by the wings .. Keep in mind though it was more hold by the wings with a hand under the belly cause these suckers are huge.... Came on BYC and found that it was the best way to carry them ....

They are so tiny I just love them.

It does look like a weird way to carry them but better safe then sorry and let them hurt themselves.

They are so lovely. I am falling deeper and deeper in love with ducks. Yours are perfect.

We do support their bodies. These poses were for pictures purposes only. As you see, the last picture was not full bodied because the bird did not cooperate. It was actually the first of the three taken, and we decided on the wing carry pose where the body could be seen.

I take it these guys require a fully enclosed enclosure .. I assume they can fly .. I may have to get some of these next year they are soooo cute

I've seen Dave Holderread hold full grown runner ducks like this also. I'm too scared to try.

I'm so bad with names I would probably go with Manda and Andy...

I also started thinking about orange (because of the mandarin orange) varieties for names such as:

Satsuma
Clementine
Kumquat
Valencia
Sunkist
Navel
Hamlin
Cleopatra
Citrus
Cara Cara
Moro
Pixie
Kishu
Seville

And the list goes on and on.
