Our new sixtuplets

Hello, I am excited to learn all about Chickens!  We bought six of them from our local feed store and while they are nice and warm under the lamp and growing my hubs is building a coop for them :)  My boys are going to show them at local fair through 4-h.  Excited to Learn all about them :)
I'm newish here but hey from Missouri bootheel. Best decision I made was gettin these awesome birds as they have relieved so much unneeded stress. Just glad they don't capture it all themselves. Love em like crazy

Welcome to BYC! It's great to have you.

We have two Long Island Reds, two Araucana and one Plymouth Rock and a sex link but looks like a Plymouth Rock?  Don't really understand the difference in sex link?

Those are some great breeds! Just FYI - Araucana are a very rare breed, and more likely what you have are Easter Eggers. They share ancestry with Araucanas, but are distinct and a lot more common - lots of feed stores like to sell them incorrectly yas Araucanas. Also... your "long" Island Reds (Rhode Island Reds is actually the breed name) are probably Production Reds, which are basically red hens of Rhode Island Red ancestry who lay lots of eggs.

As for the sex link... Black Sex Links are a cross of Barred Rocks and Production Reds. If it is indeed a sex link, it is male - only male BSLs resemble their Rock parent, females are mostly black with some red leakage. On the other hand, most feed stores don't know half a thing about chickens, so you may just have been given a second Barred Rock by accident.
