Our predators are dealt with natures way....

Thank you! She had just weaned a litter of puppies in that picture. She helps me work cows. I've never owned a tougher dog and she saved my life from a cow trying to trample me last year. It's a big bonus that she's so good with my chickens (so far).

what a cutie!! Brutus is my 3rd rotti, and I just love him to pieces! He is a rescue, as all of my previous rotts were as well. He is 4yrs old.

I know. They are such big teddy bears!! I love my rottis and will always own one! I wish things would change and they werent labled as mean dogs, cause they just arent!

My two basset hounds are the chicken guards and no dog will ever bother my hens or cat or other animal. They only pay attention when the hens are freeranging and then they have to be outside and just lay there and watch for the neighbors dogs. my blind and deaf 12 year old basset beat up the next door neighbors laberdoodle because she looked and the chickens funny when they were out.

You know what they say about first impressions Shelly. In truth, The Rotties would do everything they could to git in yer lap and befriend ya.(unless you meant me or mine harm) Deacon, would tear into ya in heartbeat. But he's leanring.
As i originaly said tho. My dogs are DOGS, therefore they have no desire to harm anyone that comes near my "pack" unless you have bad intentions towards me or mine.

How funny - I think the BIG dogs can smell my FEAR!
I should really GET one myself as a puppy and get over it already.... I don't know why ROtties scare me!

A friend of mine has a big black dog, I think he's cross with a rottie and something else (longer fur), but heck he saw me coming and would bark like crazy - but if he saw my son - well he was all tail wagging and big smiles - just weird... then him and my son would take off together, go dig holes or whatever, I would be a nervous WRECK and my son would be all OVER the dang dog, lying on him and hanging on his tail.. that dog never ONCE even looked at my son in a "funny" way.....

Let me see if I can post a pic, my son and my friends other dog..... (we don't have a dog, but as you can see we probably SHOULD)
