Yeah, I didn't plan for the laying box when I was figuring the center of gravity on the balance point.

btw, Can you guys see the custom Grit and Shell dispensers in the pictures?

That is ONE awesome coop.Seeing as how you built it made a lot of things that I didn't realize about tractor coops.How many chickens do you think it would hold.You have some ideas that I can see using in a bunch of coops.If you made it bigger do you think that it would be hard to handle.The way that you balanced it I would think that it wouldn't be bad to handle.What do you do with your chickens when you are moving the coach around.Thank You for what you have shown

I built it to hold six chickens, but I only have 5 in there right now. I have seen bigger coops using this design and they seem to be just as mobile! -See some posts by other builders earlier in this thread.
I usually just let the chickens out when I move it around because the birds can be bribed back into the pen with a bit of bread. My son however, likes to shut them in the house and then move the coop in order to give them a ride!
