Our stray rooster

This guy showed up in our ditch a month ago in the middle of a sleet storm, looking like a drowned rat. He was half dead...we took him in. Now he's healthy and beautiful (and so happy to have his ladies) but we have no idea what kind of darling he is. Any ideas?

I just read the story of how he came to you all and I must say that i LOVE it!! We werent really chicken people about a year ago neither even though we both wanted them, now its a family fun thing to do, we have 6 hens, and 10 chicks! We spent all day today building a larger brooder for our chicks lol lol

I have NO idea on what he is other than gorgeous and very lucky!!
