I once saw a book of portraits of elder animals. Chickens, donkeys etc. They looked very noble. The animals have their own wisdom. We recently lost an old turken roo during an evacuation. He was a gentle king and ruled the roost peacefully. The atmosphere in the pen was agitated until recently when a younger rooster took his place.
