I would LOVE to see some pictures of that, both on and off of your run. Thanks much

I agree! The last thing you want is humidity building up inside the coop/run. That's very bad for several different reasons: respiratory health, odors, and frostbite (more likely in humid air than dry air).

It's very dry here in the winter. We do have some ventilation on the sides, but it's very easy to fix and add more. Our coop has 12 square feet of ventilation at the top. I also clean the coop and run 2-4 times daily, so there is no ammonia build up. It doesn't smell at all in there. The best part is that I don't have to walk through any snow to get to the coop or run!

I have a covered run. I also, for winter, have covered the sides of the run with plastic. The transparent plastic isnt clear so I purchased some perfectly clear plastic at Joanne Fabric that is used for covering tablecoths and used that on the front of the run so the girls can look out and see me in the yard and I can look in and see them. The rest of the run I used the cheaper transparent plastic. Keeping the frigid winter wind out of the run is so nice and also keeps the coop warmer since the wind isnt blowing into the pop door! (I did leave ventillation)
