They're Pretty Flighty And Will Stay That Way For The Most Part--- Oh Be Vigilant When Handling Them--- They Hatch In 4wheel Drive And Can Easily Run Up Out Of A Cupped Hand And Fall To The Floor.... And Quick Lil Boogers Too!

the food i order isnt here yet.
can i give it some bread, but rip to little bitsy size? and maybe soak it in water?

cause i went to petco they said they dont have any quail food.

does any seed work? or just specific seeds?

I have never helped a quail out of the egg and then had it live. All of them died within a short time. If they're not healthy enough to get out, They're not healthy enough to live most of the time.

how about bobwhite egg? lol i had 4 that didnt hatch and the yolk is still in good place

How come you didnt make sure to have a place to get feed in the first place?You can either boil the egg or just scramble like a normal scrambled egg.Are there any stores in your area that sell baby chicks,grain anything?Were did you get the hatching eggs from?

:| i ordered the food, but they taking a long time to come.
there isnt any close by. im in the city so its much harder to find a shop that sell chick food.
does finch seed or parrot food works? i can grind them up really good! and do quail drink water? i readed some post, quail drink water can get into lungs

i just hope one of my hatching out of the egg. but he or she is fine. just the one hatch before it, kept pecking at it

Boil a chicken egg not the old ones from the bator yak. Peel it then take a fork and mash it up they will love it change it twice a day with fresh. Don't give them anymore bread or bird seed! Work hard on finding some place that sells proper food
