I would not pick the Orpington, because, even though mine is beautiful and tame, she is huge and eats constantly.

I think you'd be happy with any combination. So, I guess just do eny meny miny mo.

I'd say Faverolles or EE. EEs are mixed breeds so if you want only pures, keep Faverolles. I think the Favs lay well through winter, but they have feathered legs, which do get filthy at times. They are not as active in foraging as the others. My Orps eat no more than any of my birds. My eating machine is a Speckled Sussex.

I dont really care if there pure because I wont be doing and shows.And I live on the coast of Ca so we have great weather always. (No snow)
