Outlaw Chicken Owners - How many are out there - Promise I won't tell.

We need 5 acres here to have chickens. I have 4. Of course I took into account the illegal 2 family across the street and the oversized shed next door as well as an illegal wood business down the street and many other violations before I started raising my 7 illegal chickens. If the inspectors want to complain, the whole neighborhood will come down.

I used to be a illegal chicken owner...

We must've had around 20-ish (maybe more, maybe less) birds in our fenced-in neighborhood backyard. I'm not even sure if we were allowed any chickens, lol.
Now we live out on 30 acres, hallalooyah!

I'm not in the city, however in the city you are allowed four chickens. Before you weren't allowed at all, so I think it's still nice that four is allowed, especially compared to two!

And chickens being called 'livestock'? That's absurd!

I moved into an old farm house because of having illegal pets.

3 dogs and 3 cats, all fixed, vetted and trained are apparently some terrible crime. Even though they are strictly indoor cats and indoor/outdoor dogs who sleep inside so don't bark psychotically all night like our old neighbors 2 legal dogs who are entire, flea ridden, wormy and vicious.

Checking local laws to see how many kitties I'm aloud to have here (4 only - ON A FARM!?!?) I spotted the poultry regs...
On this full sized working farm I can legally have 20 poultry total!!!

Who on earth decided to limit a working farm to 20 poultry???
I'm 4 chickens off the limit already! They count them from day old if not raised by a hen.

How can you run a decent breeding program with so few birds???

Obviously this law was made for breaking...
