this afternoon we took out 3 week old babies outside i have a dog kennel with a reovable bottom. They got to feel grass and eat some bugs. I have never seen happier babies. tomorrow we are taking the kennel out to the bigger chickens pen so we can get aquainteg through the bars. Still not ready for outside permently but I think they are ready to start getting used to the outside only on pretty days. still in th 80's here in the afternoon.

Cool, my first batch just went into lockdown five minutes ago. Did you start them on medicated feed? If not, it might be a good time. That's my plan anyways, start with regular starter feed, and switch to medicated starter feed once they hit the ground. I am also planning on using a large dog crate with removable bottom.
