Outside or Inside pigeons

I've been wanting to rescue some pigeons recently and was wondering which one was better inside or outside?

Pigeons create so much dust to the point that any room that they are in, there will be a decent amount of pigeon dust everywhere. They are also quite messy and enjoy flinging food absolutely everywhere haha. I don’t own pigeons but i have a few friends who rescued pigeons and they comment about all of that all the time.

I can't think of a single bird that don't make a mess indoors and stink up a room, and pigeons are no exception.

But there are a few characteristics that make them arguably more indoor worthy than other birds. One, they have solid poops that are more like chicken poop, it's not a watery mess unless they're ill. They aren't very loud, comparatively speaking.

But to thrive they do need space to fly about, so I think in most situations indoors is not a good idea. Get them in a nice loft with a nice aviary if you want them to have a nice life.
