Outside with heat lamp at 50 degrees?

we keep our brooder in the house in the bathroom. I never have a mess from it. I sweep up and keep things clean. I have 9 chicks in there right now and it hasn't been smelly or anything. I would just hate for them to get sick from not having warm enough temps for a couple nights.

You could use more blankets and supplement your heat lamp.

Old sleeping bag or heavy blanket
Hot-hand heat packs wrapped in towels
