i have 6 ducklings they are 10 days old. I live in Arizona where it is over 100 degrees outside and sunny for a good 4-5 hours of the day. I was wondering when they would be able to go outside and play in the kiddie pool. Right now they play in the sink and LOVE it. I blow dry them afterwards. I know they would probably enjoy some more room to run around but I keep reading on here to wait 6-8 weeks because it is too cold outside for them. It’s really hot outside here so I’m not sure this is the same case? I wanted to let them out to play supervised some and then bring them back in to the brooder and dry them. Would that be okay? Or do I need to wait? They seem to be growing fast for 10 days and they are super energetic!

You could have been taking them out seventy degree weather.Just make sure they can get in and out of the pool just fine.Do you have their run and etc built?

In your case it could be too hot, but if they have access to food, water, shade, and safe from predators, I imagine they would be fine. I think you would need to take into consideration the night time temps to make sure it is not too extreme because that is what could cause issues.

As long as the waters cool enough so they won’t get too hot they should be ok. Just make sure they have plenty of food and be careful of predators because ducks are still very small at 10 days. Good luck :)

I usually always have my water on cool, cold water doesn’t bother ducklings or ducks period so don’t be too concerned bout temperatures, unless of course it is hot or warm water.

I wasn't referring to the temp of the water. The outside temps going excessively hot to cold or cold to hot would be a problem for the ducklings if the temp isn't consistent enough. I imagine if it is 100 during the day, it could dip quite a bit at night depending on where the OP lives.
