oven incubator

Oh yeah the oven incubator. Most ovens with pilotlights maintain and internal temp of about 99 deg. I put in a dish of water and cover the eggs with a wet paper towel. The barometer in Hawaii is usually about 65 percent so its pretty easy.

I have heard of people using an oven as an incubator successfully in a pinch... also an electric skillet.
When my grandma was alive and raising birds she hatched out all of her own with just a light bulb and a bath towel around the eggs. She used a wet wash cloth for humidity but I never remember seeing a thermometer or anything.
